Denys George Wells
Denys George Wells was a painter in oil and watercolour, whose work notably featured the streets and buildings of London, his collection of antiques, and his wife. He painted war damaged buildings in WW2 the morning after air raids occurred. He studied at the Slade School of Art, and was Vice President of the RBA. He received the Queen's Pension for services to the arts in 1958, and was still painting when he died at the age of 92.
