Flying Fox Winner of the 2000 Guineas 1899

| The bay Flying Fox (1896-1911) won the triple crown of thoroughbred racing in 1899 - the 2,000 Guineas, The Derby and the St. Leger - a feat accomplished by only 15 horses in 150 years. On the death of his owner, Flying Fox was sold to France for 37,500 guineas and was the leading sire in France in 1904, 1905 and 1913. |
