Stan Parsons was born at Cannock, Staffordshire. He studied art and technical drawing at the Edward Shelley School in Walsall and started work in the studios of a local printing firm producing package designs.
He then served in the RAF as an aircraft mechanic, and in 1955 returned to the Birmingham studios of Charles Hurlston, specialising in accurate and imaginary illustrations for the car industry.
Later he turned freelance and moved to London, designing brochures for many of the leading car manufacturers.
After retiring from the commercial scene in 1993, Stan Parsons combined his many skills and interests to produce unique works of art of transportation subjects.
The prints featured here were released as part of a series of British Classic Car prints.
