Rowland Suddaby
1912 - 1972
Rowland Suddaby was born in Yorkshire, and settled in Suffolk after the War, and was a founder of the Colchester Art Society. Most notable for his scenes of East Anglia, which have an unmistakable spontaneous vitality and richness of colour. Rowland Suddaby's work is found in many public collections, including those of the Victoria and Albert Museum, the Arts Council, and in the Government Art Collection. Exhibited at the RA, RBA, NEAC, LG and many galleries.
